I wanted a sponge that felt right in real life, not just in a photoshoot.
Kind Drop Requirements:
- Soft enough to feel gentle and comfortable on my skin
- Bouncy enough to blend quickly and evenly
- A shape that could reach under the eyes, around the nose and still cover cheeks and forehead easily
- A colour that looked beautiful out on a vanity, not something I wanted to hide in a drawer
- A price that made sense for everyday use, not a luxury guilt purchase
- One sponge for every step
That’s how the Kind Drop was born, from me being picky in the best possible way.
It took samples, testing, sending options back, saying “no, this still isn’t it” more times than I can count, and refusing to settle until it genuinely felt right in my hand and on my face.
While Kind By Amber is my idea and vision, I haven’t done any of this alone.
My family has supported me every step of the way, from listening to me talk about sponge density and angles, to helping test textures, colours, and packaging.
They’re the ones who told me to trust my standards, not lower them. They’ve seen the late nights, the samples, the tweaks and the “start again” moments, and they’ve encouraged me to keep going.
Kind By Amber is my brand, but it’s built on a lot of love, patience, and support from the people closest to me.
The word kind is at the centre of everything:
- Kind to your skin – a super-soft texture that feels gentle every time it touches your face
- Kind to your routine – a sponge that actually works and makes getting ready easier, not harder
- Kind to your wallet – quality that feels special, without a ridiculous mark-up
- Kind to the planet – a reusable tool with more thoughtful packaging choices
Kindness shows up in the small details: how the sponge feels when you first wet it, how it looks when you open the box, how it holds up after weeks of use, and how you feel each time you reach for it.
